Forest&Photonics professional event was bigger than ever!

Forest&Photonics 2018 gathered forestry, forest machinery and photonics technology experts from Finland and abroad for two day conference held in Koli National Park, Finland. This year themes were drones and lidar-technologies which are significant for the development of robotics and automation. For example photonics based lidar-technologies are more and more important for forestry and are used for example controlling the forest fires and for forest inventory. Also different measuring and display solutions are becoming more common for example HUD displays in forestry machines.

Now fourth time arranged Forest&Photonics was a big success with more than 120 forestry and photonics experts and over 60 companies. The event had brilliant and profound presentations which proved that these two sectors has a lot to offer for each other. 100% of the event participants recommends Forest&Photonics for other experts of these fields. 

Forest&Photonics is important base for providing expert level information but also for creating new networks and 95% of participants found new potential collaboration partner during the event. Upcoming event is already highly anticipated because even 92% are going to participate in Forest&Photonics 2019 which will be held in 7th – 8th of October 2019 - Koli National Park, Finland.   

Forest&Photonics is part of the Joensuu growth agreement and are organized by Joensuu Science Park with Photonics Finland.

Näin metsä vastaa kun sinne huudetaan – alan huipputapahtuma Forest&Photonics houkuttelee kärkitoimijat paikalle

Digitalisaatio ja uudet teknologiat kehittävät metsäalaa. Aihe kiinnostaa, sillä jo neljättä kertaa Kolilla 10. - 11.10.2018 järjestettävä Forest&Photonics on nyt ensimmäistä kertaa loppuunmyyty. Paikalle saapuvat Suomen metsä-, kone- ja fotoniikka-alan kärkitoimijoiden lisäksi useat ulkomaiset asiantuntijat.

Tapahtuma ylittää ainutlaatuisella tavalla kahden eri alan rajapinnat yhdistäen yrittäjät, tutkijat ja kehittäjät. Ratkaisuihin, haasteisiin sekä mahdollisuuksiin pureudutaan vuosittain vaihtuvien teemojen kautta. Tämän vuoden aiheina ovat dronet ja lidar-teknologia, jotka ovat merkittävässä asemassa mm. robotiikan sekä automaation kehityksessä.

Forest&Photonics -tapahtumaa on alusta saakka tuotettu asiantuntijakohderyhmä edellä ja vuosien aikana kehitystä on viety yhä kansainvälisempään suuntaan niin puhujien kuin vierailijoiden osalta. Laadukkaan sisällön myötä tapahtuma on kasvattanut jatkuvasti suosiotaan ja tänä vuonna paikalle odotetaan yli 120 osallistujaa sekä yli 60 metsä-, kone- ja teknologia-alan yritystä.

Luvassa on metsä- ja teknologia-alan syväluotaavia sekä uutta tietoa tuottavia esityksiä sekä keskusteluja. Tapahtuma luo ainutlaatuisen ympäristön huippuasiantuntijoiden kanssa verkottumiselle sekä uudelle monialaiselle yhteistyölle.

Forest&Photonics on osa Joensuun kasvusopimusta ja se toteutetaan yhteistyössä Joensuun Tiedepuiston sekä Photonics Finland:n kanssa.

Forest&Photonics 2018

Digitalization and new technologies change the forest industry. Already fourth time arranged Forest&Photonics 2018 is for industry, academia, developers and specialists. Forest&Photonics is an unique event that brings together the forestry and technology experts to network, collaborate and share their challenges, opportunities and solutions for industry.
